The Revolution Will Be Edited

Hello all,
well since i've been superbusy with Revue

~PLUG TIME - The Law Revue website is up! August 9,10,11 & 16,17, 18 come one, come all~

i haven't really had a chance to sit down and give my regular rants a proper airing - so this is going to be a castrated version of my usual gasbag. But lovers of florid, self-indulgent writing fear not! No less than three (count 'em three!) of my reviews have gone up onto The Scene (a lovely thankyou again to Jess Moretti for that).

Here's the links for Interpol's latest, a great new band called Softlightes, and the twelfth(!) studio album from TMBG.

So i don't have much else to offer except that i have travelled back through time from this Friday night (Aug 3rd) to tell that Bloc Party was absolutely amazing and that the new Okkervil River album is equally astounding.

Here's some tracks that are keeping me alive during revue
Daft Punk - Aerodynamic: you can't beat the classics... or computer tampered guitar solos.
Bat For Lashes - Horse & I: Bjork-like talent's opening gambit, and Thom Yorke's a fan
ozma - Heartache Vs. Heartbreak: one of my favourite new bands finally unleashes their new album (expect a review soon)
Interpol - Take You On A Cruise: listening to Our Love To Admire has inspired me to revisit Antics' finest moments

And that's a wrap, till next time - peace.
Al

P.S. please do check out the Law Revue, its a modest production put on by the most talented bunch of people i've had the pleasure to commiserate with, check out the website (or the poster below) for details.
